Our team of engineers, developers, and technical specialists are in the forefront of technology in the medical device industry. As a Project Manager, you will make vital contributions to the New Product Development (NPD) and NPI (New Product Introduction) pipeline and transform patient care through innovation. This position places an emphasis on working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop electromechanical medical devices. Candidates must be self-motivated, independent and have an eagerness to learn and work as a team, and a desire to thrive in a dynamic environment. In this position, you are expected to demonstrate core Project Management and Team Leadership skills and able to independently resolve intra-team problems and communicate broadly across development teams and associated management.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and own the cross-functional timeline for new product development projects, including: Design, Verification, Validation, Product and Software Development, Prototyping, Quality and Regulatory documentation.
• Work with project teams and management to resolve resource gaps.
• Identify critical paths and roadblocks within the project and offer solutions to roadblocks.
• Assist in identifying appropriate project strategies to deliver scope or improve delivery as appropriate. Follow the new product development process with a focus on quality.
• Assist in managing project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
• Communicate project status to all project stakeholders. Communication includes: project meeting minutes, dashboards and project deep-dives as required.
• Assist in identifying key project constraints such as scope, schedule, budget, human and equipment resources.
• Develop and maintain the project team budget, liaising with functional managers or internal partners as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM or Business fields

· Advanced degree, preferred

Required:

· A minimum of 6 years of experience in NPD/NPI of Medical Device

· Experience with project management tools or Agile project management software

· Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Project, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint)

· Experience leading team meetings and documenting outcomes

· Problem-solving ability and proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation communications

· Ability to work independently, provide multiple solutions to problems and effectively communicate options and trade-offs

· Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

· Well organized, self-motivated, upbeat, creative, and resourceful

· Demonstrate strong leadership, management, and collaboration qualities

Preferred:

· Demonstrated success in leading a project from concept through market introduction

· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and frameworks

· Experience with Smartsheets

· Experience with electro-mechanical devices

· A Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

Other:

· This role will require < 20% travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 105000 to 165,000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
