Responsibilities include cell culture of mammalian cell lines including human cancer cell lines and human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), as well as iPSC-derived astrocytes. The work will also involve basic molecular biology approaches such as cloning of plasmids, preparation of buffers and solutions, RT-PCR, immunostaining, RNA FISH, immunostaining and immunoblotting, and preparing weekly summaries of experiments and cell lines. The work will also involve live cell imaging, the generation of modified induced pluripotent stem cell lines and genomics analyses, and experience in cell culture is essential. The candidate will be required to coordinate and work together as a team with undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and project scientists.
