Develop and implement data-driven pricing strategies for Uber's delivery services, taking into account various factors such as market conditions, competitor prices, and customer demand. 02. Conduct thorough analyses of pricing data and trends to identify opportunities for optimizing delivery pricing and increasing profitability. 03. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions. 04. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in delivery pricing and make recommendations for continuous improvement. 05. Lead research projects to explore new pricing models and techniques that can enhance the delivery experience for both customers and partners. 06. Use statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive models and algorithms to inform pricing decisions. 07. Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. 08. Work closely with the operations team to understand the impact of pricing strategies on driver-partners and manage any potential challenges. 09. Train and mentor junior team members on data analysis techniques and best practices for pricing optimization. 10. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise presentations, reports, and dashboards. \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or other quantitative fields. 2. 4+ years of industry experience as a scientist or equivalent. 3. Ability to use Python, SQL, R or similar technologies to work efficiently with large data sets 4. Design experiments and interpret the results to draw detailed and actionable conclusions across a variety of key performance indicators. \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. Excellent communication skills: able to lead initiatives across multiple product areas and communicate findings with leadership and product teams. 2. Experience leading key technical projects and substantially influencing the scope and output of others. 3. Solid Programming skills to prototype models in at least one of Python (preferably), R, Java 4. Expert in one of the following areas: A/B experimentation design, causal inference, machine learning, economics, or optimization 5. Experience of working with large dataset using Spark, Hive, HDFS is desired For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
