Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff / Senior Accountant in Fallston, MD. Essential Functions: * Staff / Senior Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded * Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger * Prepares complex balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports * Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses * May supervise and guide lower-level accountants * Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal control * As a Staff / Senior Accountant, you will prepare and analyze the firm's financial statements, providing explanation of significant variances from budget for operating expenses * Complete monthly account reconciliations for all asset and liability accounts; Research and reconcile all discrepancies in a timely manner
