Role Summary As the software architecture engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and optimizing the SW architecture framework for zonal controllers to comply with industry requirements. Responsibilities Work cross functionally with system, homologation, safety, cybersecurity team to design the architecture of our ECUs to compliance with industry standards Provide technical guidance and assistance to engineering teams to solve challenging architecture design issues. Support the software requirements implementation at the architecture design level Provide solutions and recommendations for SW configuration management Lead the SW architecture analysis such as freedom-from-interference, dependent failure analysis, SW FMEA Derive implementation measures (e.g. Plausibility check, Memory protection) in application software and/or platform software Support HSI (Hardware-Software Interface) development between software and internal/external developed hardware Documenting all relevant workflow, analysis, architecture, verification and validation events Qualifications 6+ years of experience developing software architecture within the automotive or equivalent industries (e.g. aerospace) Experience with industry standards like ISO 26262, ASPICE Experience in system engineering practices such as requirements authoring, architecture development, failure analysis and test development Experience in developing automotive software is a plus Experience with embedded systems is a plus Experience with C programming is a plus Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. JAMA.), issue tracking tools (Jira), SW version control tools (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.) Experience with agile software development process Degree education in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity Experience working within a cross-functional team Proven experience working on multiple projects Strong team player; drive to exceed expectations and meet deadlines Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Irvine, California Based Applicants: $171,100 - $213,900 per year (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Salary Range for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $186,000 - $232,500 per year (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
