Role and Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and support complex tests spanning across multiple servicesWork with product managers, developers and SDETs/QAs on all post order flows including partner integrationsResponsible for managing quality of post order workflow for Samsung’s ecommerce platformBuild and optimize test frameworks for both backend services and frontend applicationsAdvise on innovative test practices and solutionsCreate robust and repeatable automation test pipelines that runs on CI/CDSolution and optimize partner dependency in Regression Test SuitesDefine and administer standard testing architecture methodologies, processes and tools across all engagementsCreate and design non-functionals tests needed for scalability, fail-overs, security and system stability requirementsDefine test strategies models for micro-services, frontend applications and caching layersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsWork with geographically distributed teams across time zones

Background & Competencies Required:

10+ years of experience in SDET/QA Functions with Master’s Degree OR12+ years of experience in SDET/QA Functions with Bachelor’s Degree8+ years of QA experience on backend services and micro-services architecture enabling web and mobile ecommerce application6+ years of experience in Designing and Creating Test FrameworksStrong coding skills in in Javascript /Typescript and NodeJSHands-on experience with Relational and NoSQL Database modelsStrong fundamentals on Networking and Cloud ArchitectureExperience leading teams through CI/CD in a fast paced environmentExperience in ECommerce workflows and backend API testingExperience of leading multiple release cyclesExperience in building automation tests with stub and mocked data from integrated systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective time management and prioritization skills

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $212,000 and $245,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
