Role and Responsibilities

We’re looking for talented a Staff Software Development Engineer who is interested in building our B2C and B2B eCommerce web applications that powers our existing and future businesses. As a Staff Software Development Engineer, you will work cross functionally with the product team, design solutions, contribute to the primary development work for our web apps, creating reusable modules, identify opportunities for optimizations, enhancing extensions, improving site performance, and managing security and feature upgrades. You will help architect solutions to problems, and lead the development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the development and implementation on B2B and B2C web applications and micro services using React.JS, Next.JS and Node.JS.Work with other developers and designers to build applications consistent with product roadmaps and customer requirementsDevelop and test reusable micro frontend services, SPAs, libraries, and extensionsReview and troubleshoot integration issuesHave a good understanding of the eCommerce platform micro services and ability to come up with solutions spanning across micro services.Manage interactions with internal and external partner teams including alignment with Global teams.Coach and groom junior developers and help them to produce great codeContinuously collaborate, share and build best practices with teamsBecome SME on one or more services in our organizationSetting up monitoring dashboards, alerts and technical operations for microservicesSetting up relevant SLAs with operations and delivering on themLead the team in providing support for issues found in Production, and to come up with short term and long-term solutionsOptimize website loading time and performanceMake and deliver on recommendations for functionality and architecture that will keep our platform maintainable and enable stable, rapid deploymentREQUIREMENTS
Bachelors / Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum 10 years professional experience in software developmentProficient in web development (Backend/Frontend/Both) and JavaScript frameworksFamiliarity with web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs, and JSONProven experience connecting front-end clients with back-end services and databasesHighly Proficient in technologies like:React.jsNode.jsSQL/NoSQLCaching frameworksAbility to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch & operationsExperience in communicating with other business teams and translate the product requirements to technical plan with solutionsAbility to come up with the high-level design based on the requirements, document and explain to junior members of the teamSkills and Qualifications

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $212,500 and $246,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
