We develop Computational Photography and Machine Learning algorithms to create magical camera features on Google Pixel devices. We work on end-to-end feature delivery, from the algorithm initiatives to the final on-device integration and optimization. We put emphasis on product excellence and thrive in optimizing every aspect of our feature and engineering practice.
We work across functions, (e.g., Research, Silicon, Product, and UX, to enable novel ML and hardware technologies, and are involved in setting the roadmaps of future Pixel hardware and Google Tensor SOCs. Every year, the team delivers dozens of solutions to improve the camera quality, and enable impactful user-facing features that become marketing highlights.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
+ Develop large Gen-AI models for user-facing features. Iterate model quality through architecture design, advanced training techniques, fine-tuning, sampling, and data curation.
+ Optimize model performance through on-device ML techniques, such as quantization, distillation, and hardware acceleration such as edge
Tensor Processing Unit (TPU).
+ Possess programming skills in Python or C++, with knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) frameworks such as Jax, Tensorflow, or Pytorch.
+ Evaluate and prototype state-of-the-art research papers in computational photography, computer vision, graphics, and Gen-AI.
+ Collaborate with Research, Silicon, and Product teams for product launch.
