As a staff engineer on the Merchant Business Owner domain, you will have a chance to work in diverse aspects of the business from improving merchant signup flows, integrating our diverse portfolio into a centrally accessible application, and providing best-in-class reporting capabilities. This position is cross-functional with an emphasis on ensuring product scalability and reliability. Other responsibilities include helping to facilitate and implement integrations across large systems.
On a daily basis, you will:
Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions. Ensure timely and lossless communication across teams. Uphold engineering values and best practices. Write automated tests to ensure the quality of the software applications. Optimize software performance and ensure scalability and reliability. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Collaborate with international teams to ensure successful product development and delivery. Help mentor other engineers.What skill are we searching for?
A strong technical background in software engineering and architecture, with experience in modern programming languages. Ability to work independently with very little direction, taking full ownership of projects. Identifying blind spots, anticipating challenges, and prioritizing work effectively. Exceptional communication and organizational skills. Proficiency using Python, Javascript, Typescript, Kubernetes, and AWS. Experience in writing and/or supporting Django, Flask, FastAPI or similar web frameworks. 8+ years of relevant experience preferred. Experience with PHP and GoLang is a plus but not required. Experience with Distributed Task Queues such as Celery and RabbitMQ is preferred. Experience with RDBMS/SQL is also preferred. Experience with MongoDB is preferred. Experience with Terraform is preferred. Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
