As a Staff Software Developer at CoverMyMeds, you’ll create solutions that make our healthcare system work more efficiently and effectively in order to help millions of people receive their prescription medications every year. You’ll build products that our partners in healthcare use every day and innovate products that don't even exist yet. What You’ll Do 

The Staff Software Engineer at Covermymeds works with the manager and business stakeholders in understanding the business needs and writing quality code that aligns with the product roadmap in an agile environment. As a member of the product team, you will architect, design, and develop highly scalable and secure software using agile practices, interact with business partners, service providers and third-party vendors and take part in different phases of software development lifecycle.

Part of your day will be spent working on following core duties:

Strategy

You are instrumental in helping us set direction for technical roadmapYour decisions and recommendations take into account your scope of influenceYou see the bigger picture and work to help CMM make better long term technical decisionsYou work with leadership (both engineering/product/business) to prioritize and execute against the technical road mapYou deeply understand our business and product strategy

Tactical Leader

You work closely with Technical Leadership (EDs/EMs/Staff) to address delivery issues within teamsYou diagnose and help push for resolution of delivery issuesYou can lead and direct company-wide effortsYou understand CMM's culture and know how to leverage that culture to get things done at your scope of influence

Foster Change

You are able to help peers execute on decision makingYou work with EM's to build out change management processes and proceduresYou work with leadership to build strategy and plans for getting commitment across functions

Growing as a Leader

Demonstrate Engineering Best Practices

Technical Acumen

You have a deep understanding of Self-Service's applications and how they interact up stream and down stream with other parts of the company

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience10+ years' experience as a Software Engineer5-7 years' experience as a Sr. Software Engineer10+ years' software architecture and design experience10+ years' experience in Ruby on Rails, React, git, Redis, Sidekiq, Docker, terraform, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Ansible, RSpec, Capybara, and Cucumber

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$148,700 - $247,900
