**Job Description**

**Position Summary and Responsibilities**
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Loomis based team providing next generation storage test solutions and protocol knowledge to Teledyne LeCroy customers.
For the right candidate this exciting opportunity can expose you to new products and technology years before it reaches the computer market. This position will help provide to our customers the industries leading-edge storage test products using the latest protocols related to SSD storage. Top storage providers around the globe use our products to develop and verify next-generation consumer and server class storage solutions. The candidate will work with many teams including the marketing teams, sales teams, engineering teams and test teams as required. Through hands-on learning, studying technical specifications, and mentoring, you will gain experience in storage protocols and in our appliance that test and validate these protocols and storage devices. Ultimately enabling you to become one of the world’s elite experts in this field.
**Responsibilities**
• Design and implement intuitive, easy-to-use software features to facilitate the testing of storage I/O, networking, and fabric protocols
• Develop clean, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code primarily in C
• Create unit and functional tests for newly implemented features to ensure their quality
• Support the legacy code base with bug fixes for issues reported by the customers and the QA team
• Actively participate in peer-based code reviews
• Implement feature requests based on thorough investigation, bug reports, team discussions, planning, architecture, testing, and reviews
**Required Qualifications**
• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum of five years of experience in software development
• Strong C knowledge and experience
• Experience with gdb or other debugging tools
• Solid understanding of fundamental software design and coding practices
• Experience in multi-threaded and network-based application environments
• General knowledge of working with technology specifications
• Experience with storage protocols, such as NVMe, SAS, SATA
• Experience with PCIe protocol
• Experience with Git software repositories, creation, usage, and maintenance
• Excellent communication and people skills
**Desired Experience**
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with Linux Driver development
• Experience with JIRA or other defect tracking system
• Experience with protocol analyzers, PCIe preferred
• Experience using Google Test
• Experience with FPGA programming
• Experience in Python scripting
**Salary Range:**
$113,600.00-$151,400.000
