Staff Software Engineer - (employer: Sirius XM Radio LLC; job location: Atlanta, GA) Develop and execute software for SiriusXM Satellite Radio systems. Develop advanced architectures and platforms for next gen software to control satellite audio, data services and advanced telematics features. Develop user interface software specifications and software, as well as advanced infotainment and telematics features for Radio receiver products. Collaborate with receiver manufacturer partners to resolve outstanding UI software issues during the product development process. Support the full SDLC from initial feature definition through to software release and in-field customer support. Analyze internal and third-party product requirements and specifications. Participate in review sessions for new user interfaces, features, and software implementation designs. Author software application notes, programming manuals, and training materials for distribution and presentation to SiriusXM partners. Author software components, insuring they meet functional and quality requirements. Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer or Electrical), plus three years of experience in the position offered or a technical architect or software engineer position or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer or Electrical), plus five years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in the position offered or a technical architect or software engineer position. All required experience must have included developing software for embedded consumer or automotive products; using C/C++, Java, HTTP, JSON, QT, Flutter, and Rust; working in advanced software development environments (IDE compilers, operating systems, source management tools, CI/CD, and test tools); working with embedded real-time software and articulating complex system requirements and design considerations; working in matrix environment, coordinating activities of multiple teams in multiple sites; and experience with one or more of following areas: satellite receivers, consumer or automotive audio and infotainment products, digital communications, client/server communications, internet protocol products and technology, IPC mechanisms, or communication threat identification and prevention. #LI-DNI.
