Overview
Come join the "Intuit Platform Security and Compliance Engineering Team" as a "Staff Security Software Engineer". Our team is responsible for developing and supporting Intuit’s cloud runtime security and compliance capabilities. The ideal candidate will join a team of motivated security and software engineers with a passion for solving cloud security problems through technology.
What you'll bring
+ 8+ years in product and platform infrastructure engineering role, including experience in cloud infrastructure automation, security and compliance
+ Software development experience with Python, Golang or Shell.
+ Strong grasp and hands-on experience with cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) infrastructure tools and automation (infrastructure as code and operations). Cloud security engineering experience is a plus.
+ Working experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
+ Implementing detection capabilities is a plus
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience. Emphasis on Cybersecurity is a plus
+ Knowledge of red team methodologies
+ An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
+ Machine Language development is a plus.
+ "Self-starter"" attitude and ability to make decisions independently.
+ Strong desire to learn and grow.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks.
+ Outstanding partnership skills.
Solid technical documentation capability.
How you will lead
+ Influencing and designing cloud security solutions, hands-on coding and security analysis
+ Develops, deploys and operates security detection and prevention services for cloud product environments, i.e. OS, Network, AWS and GCP
+ Drive efforts to secure runtime network and operating system for cloud infrastructure
+ Support incident response and forensics at network and OS layer
+ Drive cloud infrastructure security and development best practices
+ Identify and define security abuse cases, ie techniques, tactics and procedures (TTPs)
+ Assess risk and prioritization of security vulnerabilities
+ Test for security escapes and develop detection algorithms
+ Continually research offensive security tools and exploits
+ Works on significant assignments that are broad in scope and complexity, may cross several functional and organizational boundaries, and cover a wide range of issues
+ Exercises independent judgment in the selection of methods and techniques used to deliver operational solutions. Considers build, buy and partnering alternatives in the selection process
+ Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM methodologies
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is: Southern California $180,000-$243,500
