Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to develop high-quality, maintainable Developer Productivity Services that aligns and adheres to essential architectural principles. Developing capabilities that directly elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of Developers ability to create and deploy high quality applications. This role involves planning and breaking down complex deliverables into manageable tasks, proposing innovative solutions and automation to existing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to analyze and evaluate results, ensuring the selection of optimal solutions that enhance both performance and maintainability.

Responsibilities: Perform all phases of software engineering including design, development, testing, and deployment in an Agile software development environmentAbility to be a technical team lead recommending leading edge solutions with a can-do attitudeImplement automation, whereby taking repeatable tasks being done manually and automateDesign and develop new features using object-oriented coding and scriptingCollaborate with technology teams and conduct research regarding architecture improvementsActively participate in code reviews, analyze results and choose the best solutionManage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasksContinuously focus on improving software quality and performanceParticipate in Information Security analysis and remediationTroubleshoot customer issues and communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholdersMentor and inspire peersWork with product owners to implement features and clarify requirementsProvide timely advice and solutions including deliverable estimations; communicate tradeoffs including potential issues and mitigation Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Master’s preferredProficient in using of code and scripting to perform automationHeavy experience with Python, along with Groovy and/or JavaHeavy experience with internal workings of automated CI/CD Pipelines plus customizationsSkilled using source code control toolsets like GitLab or BitbucketExperience with automated testing across nonproduction and production environmentsExperience in code quality toolsets like Sonarqube or similarExperienced integrating with Security tooling for open source, application code and containersTech lead with ability to quantify and estimate the level of effort as well as mentoring others to successHeavy AWS Cloud experience specific to provisioning highly secure / scaled applicationsExperience with Docker containerization and orchestrationExperience designing and building REST services and microservice architecturesComfortable integrating into cloud-based databasesExperience with Scrum framework, SM certification is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn new coding languages and develop creativelySolid understanding of securing coding practice such as OWASP Benefits:
