Staff Software Engineer / Java / Healthcare

They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join their dynamic team of five software engineers. This represents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the Healthcare IT sector.

The role is heavily focused on healthcare IT, requiring a deep understanding of industry standards such as FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) and HL7 (Health Level 7). Proficiency in these standards is a critical requirement for success in this position. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in Java development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of independently managing tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision. The company is seeking a developer who can be trusted to take ownership of assignments and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.

Required Skills and Experience 

10+ years in developing high quality software. Advanced proficiency with Java, Python, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, MySQL, and AWS. Experience with healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, and IHE implementations. Exposure to security standards such as mTLS, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and JWT. Ability to ramp up quickly on both new and existing technologies. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Desired Skills and Experience Continued education and/or advanced degrees. AWS certifications. Exposure to Java technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Gradle.
