Staff/Sr. Accountant
Description We are in search of a proficient Staff/Sr. Accountant to join our team in Hudson, Ohio. This role primarily involves maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP, assisting with financial statement preparation, and actively identifying cost reduction measures. You will also prepare analytical reports to aid management in financial decisions. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation and submission of government agency reports, including taxes • Conduct monthly account reconciliations • Communicate effectively with independent auditors and team members • Develop and implement efficient workflow processes • Execute month-end close processes and journal entries • Make informed decisions based on independent analysis and experience • Assist in annual audits • Prepare bank reconciliations • Utilize spreadsheet and manufacturing software applications to create financial reports • Perform weekly Accounts Payable check run and prepare wire transfers • Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned by the Controller. For Immediate CONFIDENTIAL consideration, call Tom May @ 216-800-7232 Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff/Sr. Accountant role or similar • Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential • Proficiency in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries • Experience with Month End Close processes is required • Knowledge of US GAAP regulations and standards • Ability to prepare Financial Statements and conduct Financial Reporting • Familiarity with Account Reconciliation processes • Experience with Infor Visual ERP is a plus • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
