Staff Supplier Reliability Engineer – Low Voltage Components

As a Supplier Reliability Engineer for Low Voltage Components, you will play a key role in designing Rivian’s products with reliability in mind. In this role you will ensure low voltage systems and components meet performance and reliability standards. You will also partner with suppliers to resolve technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Responsibilities Set and communicate Reliability requirements, targets, and test plans for electronic components, subsystems, and assemblies. IC work as well as devices pertaining to ADAS, Infotainment, Sensors/Switches Use fleet data, performance characterizations, and industry standards to define lifetime test requirements and mission profiles. PCBA BOM reviews verifying IC selection meets industry and Rivian requirements Part Change Notice and Engineering Change Notice management and requalification Functional Safety (FuSa) FIT Rate Calculations. Facilitate DFMEA sessions for assigned parts with suppliers and internally. Qualifications Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline (Master's degree preferred) 5-8+ years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role or design engineering role. 5-8+ Years of experience developing LVE components 5+ Years of Experience Deploying reliability testing guidelines to suppliers and facilitating DFMEAs internally and externally. Domain knowledge of methods to design-in and sustain reliability for some of the following: Semiconductors  ASIC chip  SOC  PMIC  RAM/ROM/Flash Memory  Pay Disclosure Salary Range Irvine-Based Applicants: $171,100-$213,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law). Salary Range Palo Alto-Based Applicants: $186,000 -$232,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
