Job Description
As a Staff System Validation Engineer, you will take ownership of critical validation projects for analog mixed-signal ICs. Your responsibilities will include defining validation strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products exceed internal and customer standards. This is an opportunity to be a key player in driving innovation and process improvements within our validation ecosystem.
Your Role:
Lead and drive complex IC validation projects, ensuring product performance, functionality, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in design, product, and test engineering to resolve system-level issues and align on technical objectives.Support strategic planning and collaborate with the Group Manager to define validation strategies and lead projects that drive continuous improvement.Develop and implement comprehensive validation plans, ensuring thorough test coverage and driving efficiency improvements in validation cycles.Automate validation processes using LabVIEW, Python, C#, and other relevant tools, continuously optimizing for efficiency and scalability.Perform in-depth debugging, silicon failure analysis, and root cause identification for system issues. Contribute to cross-functional problem-solving initiatives, helping to resolve test discrepancies and provide customer support when needed.Design advanced PCB and validation hardware setups, including complex schematic designs and mechanical arrangements for sensitive testing environments.Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.Provide clear and comprehensive documentation of validation procedures, test results, and troubleshooting efforts.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field.Proven experience in system validation for analog mixed-signal semiconductor devices.Deep knowledge of analog mixed-signal ICs, validation tools (LabVIEW, Python, C#, etc.), electronic components, circuit functionality, and measurement techniques.Strong experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and performing root cause analysis of complex hardware and software validation issues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines.Fluent in English; German is a plusKnowledge of EMC standards and testing is a plus
