The Staff Systems Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing technical leadership to programs, drive a systems engineering mindset across the business, delivering on system engineering deliverables and driving adoption of systems engineering practices.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide technical knowledge of system engineering principles and systems thinking in developing cost-effective, reliable, and high-quality systems that satisfy customer needs and business requirements.Leads Cross-Functional Teams in system requirements definition, system functional decomposition and requirements allocation, system architecture definition, system modeling, requirements traceability and compliance through system verification and validation.Assist in the adoption and execution of best practices in Systems, Reliability and Usability Engineering.The essential requirements of the job include:
BS degree in Engineering or Microbiology9+ years of relevant work experienceExperience in system engineering principles such as product system architecture, voice of customer, requirement engineering, requirements decomposition and traceability, risk management, system modeling and system verificationExperience in design and development of complex systems comprised of electromechanical, fluidics, software, and assay/chemistry subsystems.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
IVD experience, QSR/ISO regulations & standards and risk management (ISO14971) in a regulated environmentMicrobiology Product DevelopmentHuman Factors & System IntegrationProficiency in Statistical methodsThe salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
