Staff Systems Engineer
Systems EngineerJob Description

Design, develop, and implement complex systems architecture to technical requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate capabilities into the overall system architecture, considering both technical and operational aspects, and align delivery plans with overall project timelines and milestones. Support installation and configuration of system hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure system functionality. Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration details, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, assisting with system-related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE:

•\tBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

•\t6+ years experience working as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role

•\tStrong knowledge of Software Systems engineering principles and methodologies (NOT IT SYSTEMS)

•\tProficiency in designing and implementing complex systems architecture

•\tSolid understanding of hardware, operating systems, network protocols, software applications, and cloud technologies

•\tExperience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting

•\tExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills

•\tStrong communication and collaboration abilities

•\tAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

•\tActive DoD Secret clearance

HIGHLY DESIRED

•\tMaster’s degree in engineering or a related field

•\tActive TS/SCI security clearance

•\tExperience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

•\tExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, like CAMEO

•\tExperience in a customer-facing or consulting role

•\tExperience with system architectures that include software containerization, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure


Job Type/Offerings

This is a Full Time Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s) contract and intended to convert to permanent after. For ths role Actalent offers 4 Weeks PTO, 10 Holidays, Medical/Health/Dental Insurance, 401K and other perks during the 12 month Contract period.

Work Environment

2-3 Days on site in Tampa office. Team supports USSOCOM.
