Across air, land, sea and space, thousands of sensors onboard manned and unmanned military platforms are collecting huge amounts of data. These ISR systems task, collect, process, analyze, fuse and disseminate the most mission-critical information.
THE WORK
In this important role you will:
• Provide expert systems engineering support across multiple projects, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder needs and project objectives
• Develop and document system architectures and interfaces based on stakeholder requirements and system specifications
• Support Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) efforts on multiple projects
• Elicit, analyze, and manage customer and stakeholder requirements to inform system design and development
• Create and oversee plans for system verification to ensure designs meet operational needs
• Prepare detailed engineering estimates and contribute to proposal development
• Lead and participate actively in an agile development environment
• Develop operational concepts and contribute to system design activities aligned with mission objectives

As part of the C4ISR Engineering & Technology team, you will develop and document architectures, analyze requirements, support MBSE efforts, develop CONOPS, and contribute towards proposal development as part of the Signals Reconnaissance program. You will work with cross-functional, multi-discipline teams and should be comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment with various program and technology SMEs (subject matter experts) in support of a multi-site mission.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 9 or more years of professional experience, or 7 or more years of professional experience with a Master's degree, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
• Extensive understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, including principles, processes, and methodologies
• Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
• Proven experience, 3 years minimum, with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices (Cameo preferred)
• Experience in preparing engineering estimates and contributing to proposal efforts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and build consensus among stakeholders
Desired Skills:
• Experience in creating use cases and test scenarios
• Ability to integrate various engineering and analysis tools to enhance system development
• Knowledge of software design principles and system architecture concepts
• Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) implementation
• Experience with test or modeling automation tools
• Proactive mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical teams
• Proven ability to develop solutions to complex technical problems

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
