We are seeking a Staff Systems Engineer with experience in MBSE to join our talented team in Redondo Beach, CA.
This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.
What you'll get to do:
In this role, you will support a team of systems engineers involved with trade studies, integration and test, verification and validation, and technical planning through Agile processes and ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints for the ground segment of a satellite system. You will work closely with the MBSE Lead and Chief Architect to ensure the architecture is realized using MBSE. You will develop the modeling products in CAMEO for the program. You will support internal architecture meetings and external architecture meetings with customer representatives. You will collaborate with a variety of team members (thread leads, software developers, system integrators, system testers, system requirements engineers) to support delivery of a number of CDRLs including interface design products, System/Segment Design Document, Software Design Document, Software Architecture Document, etc. You will also maintain technical cognizance of subsystem interdependencies in support of maturing ICD’s for identifying and resolving gaps. You will incorporate cross-IPT feedback to support the development and approval of the products.
The program uses state-of-the-art Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), maintaining all requirements, descriptive models, analytical models, cost models, and management and support functions in one common, integrated suite of MBSE tools.
Basic Qualifications:
12 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in STEM; 10 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 8 Years of relevant experience with PhD Active DoD Secret clearance required at the time of application Experience with MBSE, UPDM/DODAF, and SysML Experience using CAMEO, a system architecture modeling tool Experience using DOORS or equivalent requirements management database Ability to collaborate and contribute to technical discussions with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and managementPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ground and Space systems and/or Command and Control systems Experience with MBSE on system of systems Experience with cross-functional teams and MBSE in an Agile environment Experience with requirements and verification Experience with verification test planning Experience with software design/development both reuse and new design Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
