We are looking for you to join our team as the Interior Data Communications Networks (IDCN) IPT Lead/CAM based out of Ocean Springs, MS. This role is part of the Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) C5I design and integration team, aligned to the Maritime Systems & Integration (MS&I) Operating Unit. The IDCN IPT lead owns responsibility for leading a team of engineers to develop the Interior Data Communications Networks (Class/Unclass LAN). This includes responsibility to see that technical and collaborative reviews, design, implementation, and verification of their subset of the C5I system occurs. They work with the SEIT Lead and Chief Engineer to ensure their team’s product development occurs per program requirements and provides for system integration and verification. In this role, the IDCN IPT Lead will be responsible for the following as it relates to their product team:

Ensure technical quality, performance, cost, schedule, and risk and opportunity for product team content on the program.Be responsible for the CAM activities.Provide product/subsystem design oversight for product team products.Manage and conduct to closure subsystem and lower technical reviews.Provide configuration management oversight for their product team products.Interface with GSC for management of Purchase Orders and Suppliers within the scope of their product team.Interface with manufacturing for product development within the scope of their product team.Coordinate with program management and SEIT Lead to integrate their product team scope into the program work breakdown structure, integrated master plan, and/or IMS.In coordination with engineering management, ensure their product team is appropriately staffed with qualified personnel.Collect and report engineering metrics within the scope of their product.Work with engineering management to ensure use and application of standardized tools and development environments, as applicable to product scope.In coordination with the SEIT Lead and Chief Engineer, ensure implementation of systems engineering practices within the product team.Positions may require travel up to 15% of the time to support program needs

Candidates must have exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills, strategic thinking, strong technical acumen, and the ability to lead multiple engineering disciplines in development of the product. The candidate will work with cross-discipline team members and therefore must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation experience and the demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with a diverse community of engineers and managers to achieve the goals of the program. The candidate must have the ability to build consensus and resolve conflict. The candidate must collaborate with business area leadership, and other functional partners to resolve complex issues in a timely manner to help meet program commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree required with noted, relevant years of experience: Bachelor’s degree with 12 years, Master’s degree with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years.4+ years’ experience as a technical project lead (e.g. IPT lead, functional lead, or equivalent).Knowledge of one or more shipboard systems in the following categories: Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS), Command and Control (C2), Navigation Systems, Class/Unclass Networks, other shipboard C5I systems.Solid understanding of Systems Engineering with demonstrated experience leading through design and production.Experience summarizing and communicating status reports to technical leadership at a level higher than immediate management.U.S Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Program/Project management of hardware programs including demonstrated knowledge of earned value management.Knowledge of multiple shipboard systems in the following categories: Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS), Command and Control (C2), Navigation Systems, Class/Unclass Networks, other shipboard C5I systems.Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to act as a liaison to the customer for engineering efforts.Knowledge of one or more shipboard systems in the following categories: Integrated Bridge Systems, Combat and Control, Navigation, Network, Machinery Control, Electronic Warfare and weapon systems.AutoCAD or similar CAD experience.Prior military or government contract experience.Active Secret clearance or higher.

Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
