One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer with demonstrated ability to lead development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team in support of emerging supercomputing technologies.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Plan and execute the program lifecycle, including major program milestones / reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.)Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle, collaborating across the MDA portfolio of programs.Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.This position is contingent on clearance.
This position will serve on-site in Linthicum / Annapolis Junction, MD.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Staff Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience.Demonstrated Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML) experience.Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR.Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification.Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.Experience in systems development, integration, and test.This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with Active DoD TS/SCI with poly security clearance business requirements.Preferred Qualifications of Sr. Staff Systems Engineer:
Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems.Risk and Opportunity Management experience.Demonstrated Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, Focus on SRR to CDR.Master’s degree or PhD in STEM or technical management.Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (UAF).Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.Experience managing contracts of $10M+#MDASEIT
