5+ years of experience and B.S. or M.S in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or relevant work experience as a technical program manager in automotive software space. What you’ll do...
Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, development, testing, and deployment of chassis firmware systems.Collaborate closely with engineering teams (hardware, software, systems) to ensure alignment on technical requirements, schedules, and deliverables.Manage program risks, identify dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely execution of milestones.Understand the technical details of chassis firmware architecture, including control algorithms, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and hardware interfaces.Coordinate system integration efforts between chassis components (e.g., steering, braking, suspension) and vehicle-level systems.Work with firmware and software teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including product management, suppliers, and vehicle integration teams.Facilitate communication between internal and external teams to ensure all parties are aligned on program objectives and progress.Manage supplier relationships for chassis-related firmware components, ensuring clear requirements and timely deliveries.Collaborate with all Hardware teams to determine hardware availability schedule and pedigre. Develop and maintain detailed program timelines, roadmaps, and resource plans.Track and report program status, KPIs, and deliverables to leadership and stakeholders.Drive continuous improvement by analyzing program performance and implementing lessons learned.Identify risks to program and work cross-functionally though origanization to resolve conflicts Triage defects resulting from Software integration and lab car testingTriage defects from testing outside of Software organization such as various vehicle tests, driver mileage accumulation, etc.Work with different Software domain teams in scheduling defect fixesWork with Software domain teams to create Release checklistEnsure chassis firmware meets all regulatory, quality, and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE).Collaborate with validation teams to define test plans and criteria for successful integration of chassis firmware. Own Release Notes including limitations and workarounds
