Job Description Insight Global is seeking to hire a Staff Telecommunications Engineer for one of the leading AEC firms in the Kansas City Area. This is a net new role, as the candidate will be joining a newer and rapidly growing team. The team focuses on Networks, Integration & Automation project work - and will be specifically focused on Network Planning projects (planning electric utility networks). In this role, it's less doing actual hands-on design work, and more focused on planning out the network. Projects are primarily related to net new fiber. The majority of the role will be focused on the engineering around various telecom systems and coordinating with the team on project work. (80%) In addition, this candidate will do construction administrative work, such as submittals, site visits, punch walks etc. (20%). This is a highly collaborative role, where you will also be working with other engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycles. Workload will comprise of large scale commercial projects, where project scope is included but not limited to... Skills and Requirements Education Qualifications: Engineering Degree OR Electrical or Computer Engineer ideally, Mechanical as a potential* Engineering Technology Degree OR Would be Engineering Specialist/Designer No Degree Leveled at Designer - would expect more years of experience Qualifications: 3 to 7 years applicable/professional experience Fiber experience (OSP > ISP) Mostly OSP over ISP, Routing, Easements, Right-of-way.
