Skyworks is seeking a full time Staff Test Engineer for our Ottawa, Ontario, Canada location supporting WiFi products. As a key contributor you will work in a team-based environment with other talented test engineers and work cross functionally with our product and design teams to develop complete and innovative test solutions. The primary goal of this position is designing, developing, and implementing test procedures in automatic test equipment (ATE) to support our volume and cost goals. This includes developing tests solutions focused on probe, package, and characterization testing.
Key Responsibilities Ensure adequate test coverage based on product requirements Design, develop and release robust characterization and production test solutions Develop tests that are self-contained, well documented, maintainable, and reusable Participate in test data analysis and ensure accuracy and repeatability of test coverage Provide technical support to factory sites to resolve any test solution related issue Drive yield improvement, test time reduction, test cost reduction Required Experience and Skills Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.). 8+years of experience in the semiconductor industry and in two or more of the following fields: RF, WiFi, analog and digital circuits up to the 10GHz range Strong software background in C, C++, C# using Windows and Linux environments Familiarity with data communication protocols (GPIB, MIPI, I2C, SPI, etc) Proficiency with software/hardware integration including calibration and debug Ability to automate test routines and program external equipment such as ATE, signal generator, VNA, spectrum analyzer, power meter Ability to collaborate with design and product engineers in a multi-disciplinary environment Team player with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task Desired Experience and Skills Experience with semiconductor ATE testers (Cohu/LTX PAx, Cohu DxV, Verigy 93K, Teradyne UltraFlex, etc)#LI-JR1
The typical base pay range for this role is currently CAD $99,200 - $169,300 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
