A Staff Transmission Designer will work with Transmission Line Engineers to support and lead various phases of planning, proposal preparation, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation, specifications, and preparation of construction documentation and transmission plans as part of a project team. This position will support various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.

Support and lead design of various transmission projects including greenfield transmission lines, transmission line upgrades and transmission line relocations and reterminations. Able to effectively work in a team environment to develop 3D transmission line models in PLS-CADD. Development of hardware designs and creation of bill of material for high voltage overhead transmission line projects. Perform drawing production work to prepare construction drawings and specifications for high voltage overhead transmission lines. Support the quality review of designs, drawings and mark-ups on ongoing projects. Effectively communicate and present designs, drawings, calculations, and plans to the project team. Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments as assigned by Project Managers and Project Leads. Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner. All other duties as assigned.
