Staffing Coordinator

Aspen Hills Healthcare is looking for a full ltime staffing coordinator to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Prepare “monthly” schedules for all nursing departments – schedule to be posted at 4 week intervals and 2 weeks prior to the expiration of the current schedule
o Maintain a list of open positions
o Prepare daily sign in sheets at least one week in advance
o Monitor daily staffing per PPD and census utilizing the staffing grid
o Grants overtime when necessary
o Responds to staff requests for benefit days off
o Receives, records and replaces staff as call-outs occur
o Prepare Daily Staffing Roster
o Maintain attendance records of nursing staff
o Perform Orientation for Nursing personnel
o Provide new hires a schedule on first day of orientation
o Initiate Employee Health requirements (TB and HBV)
o Communicate effectively with staff
o Report to DON/designee daily of staffing patterns and/ or open positions
o Maintain accurate phone list of nursing personnel
o Check ADL books for completion
o Monitor shower rooms for shower sheets
o Maintain and update Daily Care Guides
o Handle all staffing calls while on duty M-F
o Ability to function as a Role Model
o Attends in-service and educational programs
o Attends continuing education required for maintenance of professional certification
o Maintains confidentiality
o Ability to communicate in English via phone, in writing and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff, resident families and any outside customers.
o Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.
o Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.
o Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.
o Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.
o Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.
o Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.
o Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions, and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.
o
o Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
+ Prefer current certification as Nurse Aide in the applicable state.
+ High School Graduate or equivalent, with 1 year of staffing experience
+ Ability to read, write and speak the English language
+ Basic knowledge of computer
