The Sanctuary of Holy Cross LTC in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staffing Coordinator to manage and oversee staff scheduling. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our facility is adequately staffed at all times, supporting our mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to handle last-minute changes, and experience in healthcare scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, and maintain staff schedules for nursing and caregiving personnel.Ensure proper staffing levels are met to comply with state regulations and facility policies.Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate call-offs, vacations, and staff shortages.Communicate with employees regarding shift assignments, schedule changes, and coverage needs.Maintain accurate records of schedules, attendance, and time-off requests.Collaborate with the nursing department and administration to optimize staffing efficiency.Utilize scheduling software and maintain electronic and paper records.Assist with payroll processing by ensuring accurate timekeeping.Support recruitment efforts by identifying coverage gaps and working with HR on hiring needs.Address scheduling concerns and conflicts professionally and effectively.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.Previous experience in healthcare scheduling (1-3 years), preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick staffing adjustments.Knowledge of Indiana state regulations regarding staffing requirements in long-term care facilities is a plus.
