ENROLLMENTS - CO-LOCATION INTAKE SPECIALIST\n

What We're Looking For:\n

Crystal Stairs is looking for an experienced Intake Specialist. Under limited supervision, the Intake Specialist will determine family eligibility and help parents eligible under the California subsidized child care programs gain access to child care programs and services. This vital position maintains cases as well as the certifying and re-certifying of family eligibility. You will certify and authorize care hours, update family information, approve changes, and issue family referrals as needed. You will provide quality customer service for all clients and internal support departments, and ensuring the accurate and timely entry of data. You will perform childcare orientations at various county\/government Regional Offices. You may also conduct site visits to various locations. Other key duties include conducting childcare orientations and outreach activities, as well as represent the agency at community events. Other duties as assigned.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nProcess initial request for childcare and assist parents and providers in completing application \nMonitor program compliance and ensure documentations are appropriate and complete\nDetermine eligibility and handle enrollment of families qualified for subsidized child care\nRespond to staff and parents requests for information or services; provide supportive and referral services to families regarding child care options and other community resources \nPerform childcare orientations at county\/government Regional offices, One-Stop\/Work-Source Centers; acts as a liaison with agencies.\nPerform data entry function for initial enrollment and prepare client file \nConduct outreach activities at Job Fairs and other events\nConduct weekly site visits to various locations.\nProvide monthly statistical reports on activities\n\n\nRepresent the agency at community events; participate in work groups, committees and ad hoc groups\nMeet assigned specific performance standards for the respective unit and\/or department\nPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor\/Manager\n\n

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:\n\nMinimum two years of experience in case management or client\/vendor management in a human services or child development environment \nB.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited four year university or equivalent work experience. \nStrong time management and organizational skills \nAbility to prioritize work \nExcellent written and oral communications skills \nExcellent customer service skills and experience with a diverse client base \nAbility to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines \nAbility to apply program guidelines and follow procedures \nAbility to maintain confidentiality \nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task\n\n
