**Job Title: Stand up Forklift Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Stand-up Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or cold storage environment. This role requires precision, speed, and the ability to work in very cold conditions. You will be responsible for organizing materials within the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and scanning products in and out. **Responsibilities** + Operate a stand-up forklift to organize materials within the warehouse or cold storage facility. + Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. + Scan inbound and outbound products using computers and scanners. + Assist on the dock with loading and unloading trucks as needed. + Stack and move products around the warehouse floor. + Work in a physically demanding environment, lifting up to 75 lbs repeatedly. + Adapt to working in temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to negative 10 degrees. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating a stand-up forklift for at least 1 year. + Proficiency in working within a cold storage environment for at least 1 year. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for at least 1 year. + Comfortable using computers and scanners for inventory management. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with reach trucks is preferred. + Experience in warehouse inventory and material handling. + Strong teamwork and communication skills. **Why Work Here?** Our company promotes from within, offering numerous opportunities for advancement and career growth. The dock area is heated in the winter but can get hot in the summer. The shift is from Monday to Friday, 4:30 pm - 1:00 am, with potential extended hours on Fridays. The dress code includes a freezer coat, sweatshirts, jeans, and steel-toe boots, with hats and gloves recommended. We provide all necessary freezer gear. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DES MOINES, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr.
