As Standard & Controls Engineer you will be joining a growing division of Segula. This offers a large potential for personal growth within a consultancy who works with multiple customers and sectors. You will be responsible for developing, updating and implementing control specifications and standards for manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring integrated IT solutions and machinery safety. This includes mechanical, pneumatics, electrical, programmable logic controller software (PLC’s) and robot programming software development.
Job Description
Managing the overall planning, co-ordination and delivery of Control systems and standards to ensure production ready equipment interfaces.Maintaining close working relationships with other Manufacturing Engineering teams, Manufacturing Operations, and IT DepartmentsProviding technical expertise to problem solving activities to accurately identify root cause and corrective actions.Maintaining Technical Standards, Project Books and specifications for all Manufacturing systems in line with the departments Bill of Process, global standard operating practices and quality systems.Maintaining interfaces specifications from Shop Floor PLC’s/Applications to Manufacturing Execution Systems.Commission and work on machine monitoring/quality systems within Production facilities.Developing new suppliers, cost effectively, into the groups Standards for Equipment Manufacture.Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.RequisitosQualifications
Required:
Previous experience and expertise in the specification, delivery, installation and launch of Controls Systems, preferably in an automotive or propulsion environmentThorough understanding of machine electrical systems and designs in ManufacturingExperience of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) programming methodsUnderstanding of machinery safety legislation and standardsPLC experienceIndustrial Ethernet Networks experienceA good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideasTaking initiative and using failure as an opportunity to learnInformación adicionalAdditional Information
