Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Writer
Job Description Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SOP Writer to join our team for a temporary 1-year assignment, with the potential for a longer-term role in other areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documenting processes and procedures within the department, with a focus on mapping out current workflows and creating scalable solutions. This role is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Documentation of Processes: Create, revise, deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that accurately reflect departmental processes. - Process Mapping: Analyze existing workflows to identify bottlenecks; develop visual process maps to illustrate current and proposed processes. - Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and team members to gather information, verify accuracy, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. - Lean Six Sigma Methodology: Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline processes. - Training Materials Development: Assist in the creation of training materials based on documented and undocumented procedures to facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for staff. - Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to existing processes and contribute to the development of new scalable processes that support departmental growth. Skills and Requirements - Education: Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Operations Management). - Experience: Proven experience in writing SOPs, process documentation and improvement. - Familiarity with process mapping tools (such as Visio) and methodologies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Advanced Microsoft Suite experience - Certifications: Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred. - HR/Benefit/retirement plan experience - Manufacturing industry experience null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
