Standards Analyst
We are seeking an experienced professional in the role of Standards Analyst. The individual who will be successful in this role will have experience analyzing and communicating complex requirements across technical domains such as AI, privacy, and cybersecurity. They will be responsible for looking across multiple regulatory regimes globally to determine patterns and trends that will help guide our GRC strategy in external standards engagement. They will also develop relationships with internal stakeholders to integrate internal requirements (both policy and technical engineering requirements) into the strategic analyses. **Responsibilities** + Track and analyze policy-, industry-, and regulatory-related issues to help develop and execute on Microsoft’s GRC standards strategy. + Manage the implementation of Microsoft's GRC standards strategic initiatives by collaborating with company business/engineering stakeholders and external stakeholders (e.g., government policymakers) in a multi-cultural environement; prepare and provide materials (written and visual communications) for both. + Contribute to and/or implement creative solutions for advancing Microsoft GRC standards strategy, while managing risks and consequences. + Lead, coordinate, and gain buy-in for intra-group and/or cross-group projects and holds others accountable by leveraging project management approaches. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the engineering teams, to understand and align objectives, priorities, and resources around GRC standards strategy. **Qualifications** Required/Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years work experience with GRC frameworks and concepts in technical domains such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI + OR equivalent experience. + Experience implementing, using, or developing standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, 27701, 27557, etc.) and basic knowledge of relational database concepts Additional or Preferred Qualifications + Experience or a background in audit, certification, and conformity assessment + Experience or a background in software engineering and architecture + Experience performing complex gap analyses across regulatory or other requirements in technical domains + Ability to build simple relational databases + Knowledge of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) + Ability to learn new and complex technologies, as well as learn Microsoft products + Ability to work in an multicultural and international environment Government Affairs IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.
