Stanford Rebele Content Summer Intern 2025
Hearst Media is seeking two highly motivated and creative Content Interns to assist in the creation of captivating content, social media management, and other publishing-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in digital media, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage and grow our social media presence. Knowledge of cannabis is preferred but not required. This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a legacy journalism institution and work alongside a talented team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Writing: Write engaging and informative articles, blog posts, and feature stories related to cannabis trends, news, and lifestyle. Assist with research for articles, ensuring content is accurate, current, and relevant. Contribute to content planning and brainstorming sessions for upcoming stories. Social Media Management: Manage and grow social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.), creating and scheduling posts to engage our audience. Monitor social media platforms, engage with followers, and respond to inquiries or comments in a timely manner. Assist in creating visual and written content for social media (graphics, captions, videos, etc.). Additional Media-Related Tasks: Assist in developing multimedia content, including video, audio, and graphics. Contribute to the creation of newsletters, email campaigns, and promotional content. Participate in team meetings, providing input on content strategy and execution.Qualifications
You must be a currently enrolled Stanford University student to apply Strong writing skills with the ability to write in a variety of tones (informative, conversational, etc.). Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital content strategies. Creative thinker with attention to detail and a proactive attitude. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is a plus. Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus. Interest in the cannabis industry with a desire to learn more about cannabis culture, trends, and issues is preferred but not required.What We Offer:
