**World Leader in Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops, and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the development and manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system. **THE OPPORTUNITY**
**We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior STARS Technician to join our Product Test team. In this role, you will provide quality and compliant sensor testing through visual inspection and a series of physical testing procedures. You will utilize laboratory equipment, machinery, and instruments to perform sensor testing and batch record review and approval to support product release, on-market stability, complaints, and product development trials. Additionally, you will support the control and scheduling of tests, develop a team of Technicians, and monitor and assist with daily laboratory activities.**
**ABOUT YOU:**
**You should be excited about working in a fast-paced environment within a hard-working and welcoming team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who can effectively multi-task while adhering to procedures and protocols and possess strong communication and time management skills. This is a shift-working role, on a rotating pattern of early and late shifts (0600 – 1400 and 1400 – 2200), Monday to Friday.**
**To be successful, you should have completed secondary education in English and Mathematics. Previous experience of working in a laboratory (including experience with GLP and GMP) and use of a variety of analytical/testing instruments to provide a general knowledge of laboratory science is preferred.**
