Are you ready to be a changemaker? Wilson Language Training is growing and is looking to hire a State Adoptions Manager. Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing the timely development and delivery of high-quality responses about our foundational literacy skills curricula (English) and professional learning for the purpose of state-level adoptions/reviews and similar initiatives. It requires strong skills in coordinating and communicating across various teams in a quick-moving, deadline-driven environment. Attention to detail to ensure that proposals/submissions are of high quality, accurate, and responsive to requirements is critical. **Essential Job Functions:** + Manages state-level submissions for program adoption or review: + Supports strategic planning of state-level responses. + Identifies, tracks, and prioritizes upcoming state-level program and professional learning submission opportunities. + Analyzes application and rubrics for alignment to WLT programs/professional learning and company priorities. + Researches to understand the landscape and priorities of submissions and make recommendations for responses. + Consults with relevant staff and stakeholders to recommend a go/no go decision. + Provides strategic writing in response to state and other educational RFPs and reviews of curricula or professional learning programs. + Develops the technical response to align with submission requirements, including program and professional learning descriptions, standard alignments, evidence, and research requirements, etc. through original writing; drawing on existing -bank- of responses and program descriptions; and enlisting and coordinating with subject-matter experts, as needed. + Updates correlations/alignments of Wilson programs to state learning standards in required format; seeks support of subject matter experts, as needed. + Develops and revises other submission components focused on Wilson programs and professional learning, such as reviewer-s guides, program summaries, and other background information. + Consults with Program Development staff, subject matter experts, and others to develop and finalize answers. + Ensures that submission responses align with submission requirements, WLT guidelines, and best practices in instruction and professional learning. + Manages database of submissions. + Stays current on all WLT program and professional learning developments, updates, and revisions. + Stays current on science of reading and other research on foundational skills instruction and intervention practices. + Understands and display WLT-s values. + Other duties as assigned. **Minimum Requirements** **Skills:** + Background in responding to state requests to review instructional and professional learning programs in English language arts, particularly foundational ELA skills and intervention programs for students with dyslexia. + Working knowledge of state ELA standards, especially foundational skills standards. + Background in developing correlations/alignments of programs to state standards. + Background in responding to rubric questions in ELA/foundational skills program review applications. + Understanding of best practices in literacy instruction and teacher training/professional learning practices to include the topics of science of reading, structured literacy, dyslexia and intensive reading interventions, and other relevant research. + Familiarity with Wilson-s programs and professional learning a plus. + Strong writing and editing capabilities. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Strong analytical skills. + Ability to work in a deadline-driven, high-pressure RFP environment. + Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently and meet simultaneous deadlines. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels. + Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat. + Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive documents and information and maintain confidentiality to protect the company. **Education or Certification:** + Bachelor-s Degree or equivalent work experience **Experience** + Minimum of 5 years related experience. + Previous experience responding to state-level applications & proposals for review of ELA/foundational literacy programs and professional learning offerings. Wilson has identified the anticipated pay range for this role based on the many factors that we consider in defining compensation levels for our roles, including market data, and internal equity considerations.
