Responsibilities: Conduct research and writing related transferable tax credits on the state and federal levelParticipate in negotiations and transactions for transferable tax creditsCalculate federal disaster zone, employer paid leave and related state and federal hiring based tax creditsParticipate in negotiations for state and local incentivesConduct research and writing for location based credits and incentivesComplete requisite documentation for credits and incentives compliance purposesParticipate in business development activities as neededDevelop internal relationships within the firm and help grow external branding Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, with an emphasis in Accounting, Business or related field preferredMaster’s degree in Taxation and/or JD with LLM in Tax preferredMinimum of 2 years of related tax experience required; public accounting experience preferredCPA, bar membership or equivalent credential preferred. If not certified, must meet educational requirements to obtain license upon hire in state of employmentPrior experience with state or federal credits and incentives programs preferredPrevious experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on state and local tax issues preferredExperience with multi-state income, sales/use, gross receipts, property, employment or other miscellaneous state and local taxes preferredCritical thinking and problem solving skillsExcellent internal and external client service skillsStrong tax research skillsStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to work effectively both as part of a team and independentlyAbility to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projectsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) Here, you’ll be challenged and rewarded for leadership, technical excellence, and inspired perspectives.
