Job Description
This position performs a wide variety of duties to assist and advise the Director of the City Income Tax Bureau, as well as the Division Administrators. This includes researching, interpreting, and analyzing budget, legislative and program policy issues, along with acting as the project coordinator in a complex work area for the Bureau and Divisions. As project coordinator, this employee coordinates with Department and Bureau staff to implement special projects for the Bureau and the Divisions as assigned by the Bureau Director. In addition, the position coordinates the Bureau’s efforts in Department initiatives such as the Department and City Income Tax Bureau Scorecard, Continuous Improvement, Employee Engagement, Inclusion and Diversity, Metrics and Bureau Communications; represents the Bureau and Department on various committees such as Lean Process Improvement (LPI) and Strategic Planning. Other functions include certain administrative duties within the Bureau, including budget development and monitoring and the analysis of the Bureau’s human resources and personnel requirements.

This position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and must work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Selected candidate must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
