Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$61,500 - $143,000

Our State and Local Income Tax organization is looking for a hardworking and motivated tax analyst to support our growing company. This position is responsible for preparing and/or reviewing state and local income and franchise tax returns, preparing analyses and deliverables related to financial reporting of state income tax, conducting tax research and supporting tax audits.

Key Objectives:Complete tax returns in a timely and accurate mannerProvide quarterly forecasts for planning, estimated tax payments, and external reporting purposesAnticipate, defend, and resolve state audit mattersUse technical expertise to successfully complete quarterly and annual tax accounting and related financial reporting activitiesTrack, research, and advise on current and changing tax laws and regulationsSeek and develop ways to improve processes

Basic Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degreeMinimum of 2 years tax and accounting experience in a large public accounting firm and / or large corporate tax environmentCPA eligibleQualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Additional Preferences:2 or more years state income/franchise tax experienceFederal tax experienceCPA CertificationStrong communication skillsStrong proficiency in Excel / Microsoft OfficeSelf-motivatedTax audit and/or controversy experienceUnderstanding of ASC 740/FAS 109Prior SAP and ONESOURCE software experienceProficiency, experience and/or interest in using process automation and/or data visualization/analytics tools such as Power Query, Power BI, etc.Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business partners and external partiesDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines
