State Street Global Advisors - Operational Due Diligence Manager, VP I

Who we are looking for:

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is the fourth largest asset management firm globally. Global Funds Management is responsible for all treasury, fund administration, and reporting for our registered and unregistered funds globally.  This includes valuation, board liaison and reporting, financial and regulatory reporting, taxation, expense accruals, service provider oversight, new product. We are looking for an Operational Due Diligence Manager with expertise in overseeing service providers to mutual funds and ETFs. The candidate must have direct experience in overseeing sub-advisers in particular.  Successful candidates will demonstrate a continuous improvement and innovation mindset and be technologically savvy.

What you will be responsible for:

Conduct due diligence reviews on existing and prospective sub-advisers including evaluations of internal controls, operational support structure, personnel, and regulatory environment.

Perform operational assessments and present findings to senior executives or business leads.

When appropriate, deliver recommendations on best practices to internal or external parties.

Participate in meetings with other subject matter experts which may include executives or senior management level personnel.

Conduct review of key industry service providers such as custodians, accounting agents, transfer agents, and sub-administrators.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in a collaborative environment, possesses strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and has a passion for continuous development and improvement.

5-8 years of sub-adviser due diligence experience or experience in third party manager operational due diligence.

Knowledge of alternative investments (private equity, private credit, senior loans, etc.)

Willingness to travel – approximately 15%

Professional advanced degree preferred

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $195,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
