Kforce has a client that is seeking a State Tax Practice Lead in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities: * State Tax Practice Lead will evaluate and select alternative actions to minimize tax burden and compliance costs * Review and conclude on compliance matters, including tax return preparation and voluntary disclosure programs * Oversee multi-state reviews analyzing income, franchise, sales and use, payroll, and other taxes to identify optimal filing options, exemptions, credits, incentives, and corporate structures * Review complex State and Local Tax returns, including Income and Franchise Tax, Sales and Use Tax, and Property Tax * Provide expertise to Alternative Investment firms (e.g., hedge funds, private equity) on state and local tax issues * As a State Tax Practice Lead, you will collaborate with Tax Partners on planning and compliance * Deliver value-added solutions related to multi-state tax matters * Supervise tax work and mentor junior staff * Serve as the main client contact for complex questions and information
