THIS IS A NON-CAREER APPOINTMENT THAT IS LIMITED TO 129 HOURS PER MONTH AND 719 HOURS PER APPOINTMENT
At the direction of the Supervisor, the Welcome Center Lead Worker, or other permanent Welcome Center / MDOT Staff, act as a direct representative of the State of Michigan to the traveling public. As a travel counselor, provide and distribute literature, information, and guidance on travel and vacation activities within the state. Assist in preparing literature displays in the center. Assist in clerical work.

This State Worker position is for summer help at the Welcome Centers in their literature area. This is not a permanent position, it offers no benefits, the rate of pay is $16.00 per hour, and the hours will not exceed 129 hours per month, or 719 within one calendar year (FYI: 2080 hours equates to full time employment).
