Statewide Training Coordinator

The Catherine Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is seeking a Statewide Training Coordinator working with our Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN).
The Statewide Training Coordinator (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WrFWxyhAghb4M0jt0VikaMzOVXKpHu-w/view?usp=sharing) works to provide a responsive training experience to all Maine early childhood and out of school time providers by using training data to develop and implement a program that meets the needs of the field as they change.
Using available data and in collaboration with the wider MRTQ PDN and project funders, this position is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of the MRTQ PDN training plan, including the training to be offered and the number of offerings per semester. This position is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy and currency of the information contained in the statewide electronic training calendar. In addition, this position identifies qualified trainers and initiates the subcontracting process for facilitation of MRTQ PDN training. This position is also responsible for ensuring that effective support is provided to training participants and training facilitators. This position works closely with the MRTQ PDN Statewide Curriculum Coordinator to ensure the delivery of MRTQ PDN training to established quality standards by highly qualified trainers.
The Maine Roads to Quality Professional Development Network (MRTQ PDN) (https://www.mrtq.org/) supports early childhood and out-of-school-time professionals in developing the expertise necessary to provide high quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive care to Maine’s children. MRTQ PDN consists of a partnership with the Catherine Cutler Institute (https://usm.maine.edu/cutler/) at the University of Southern Maine, the University of Maine Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies (https://ccids.umaine.edu/) , and the Maine Afterschool Network (https://maineafterschool.org/) .
This is a full-time grant funded position with a starting annual salary up to $55,930 located on our Portland campus or Augusta location.

Required Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management OR Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management.
+ Strong background in child development, birth through age eight and knowledge of childcare programming in a variety of settings.
