**Job Description**
**Job Summary**
The Stationary Engineer performs maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to facility equipment at customer site in Menlo Park, CA.
**Key Job Functions**
+ Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnoses and repairs to facilities equipment, fixtures, and property including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems controls, building automation systems, carpentry, painting, masonry, appliance repairs, minor grounds work and effectively perform minor and /or skilled maintenance tasks at customer facilities, property, fixtures, electrical and mechanical systems, and equipment
+ Limited adjustments to electrical and computerized controls connected to the air conditioning and heating
+ Troubleshoot/diagnose and correct infrastructure problems with facilities, equipment, and property
+ Safely and effectively perform minor and /or skilled maintenance tasks on customer facilities, property, fixtures, electrical and mechanical systems, and equipment
+ Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair projects, and processing work orders
+ Review project completion to ensure compliance with building standards and to ensure that work meets tenant satisfaction
+ Inspect the work of subordinate contract staff to insure maximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work
+ Assign work to subordinates to maintain building operations
+ Prepare work schedules
+ Maintain records and prepare required reports
+ Train or arrange for training of new employees in the proper maintenance of building systems.
+ Review projects to ensure compliance with building standards and to ensure that work meets tenant satisfaction
+ Track and process building work orders
**Qualifications**
+ Understand and use Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and building automation
+ Knowledge of systems which include but not limited to performing diagnostics and repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing repairs, toilets, sinks, domestic water system, etc
+ Demonstrate working knowledge of engineering and building systems
+ Understand and follow guidelines for safe handling of toxic and/or caustic chemicals and other hazardous materials
+ Exercise good judgment and effectively solve practical problems
+ Safely operate a variety of customer equipment and vehicles
+ Read and interpret work plans, blue prints, schematics, operations and service manuals
+ Understand and effectively follow both oral and written instructions
+ Learn new skills and adapt to new and evolving technologies
+ Work independently for long periods of time and as a positive team member
+ Use tact and diplomacy in interactions with employees, contractors, and the visitors to the Training Academy
+ Ability to plan, organize and meet project deadlines
+ Able to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as required
+ Able to work independently and as a part of a team
