What this job involves – The Stationary Engineer will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of pumping, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration and auxiliary plant machinery and equipment in a large complex or multi-faceted facility. Ensures that all equipment, machinery and systems are functioning normally and safely, and complies with all applicable safety rules and regulations.

What is the day to day?

This position will require strong technical, mechanical and administrative skills necessary to operate and maintain client properties.The primary focus of this position will center on providing high levels of customer service including on-site and on-call plant operational supportThe Stationary Engineer will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of building operations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenanceMust be able to operate as a team member, support Chief Engineer, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and have strong customer service skills supporting a wide range of clients, contractors and co-employeesOperating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing building equipment related to the efficient operation of the building equipment and systemsResponsibilities may include but is not limited to all types of building equipment, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls (electrical & pneumatic)Other job responsibilities will include supporting the property maintenance team, working assigned customer service requests, active with construction projects and supporting special set ups relating to eventsAssist Chief Engineer with completion of JLL compliance program and associated documentation to achieve compliance at your required account locationsMaintain good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant request within the guidelines set forth by JLLPerform predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and service requests as directedOccasionally assist contractors and ensure contracted services are being performed safely and in accordance with established work standards and practicesMaintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, controllersMaintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts, and other building fire life safety systemsMaintain and repair single phase electrical breakers, switches, receptacles, junction boxes, conduit, lights, and ballastsMaintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumpsProvide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directedPrepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfacesPerform general Handyman tasks to maintain buildings

Required

4+ years of HVAC, electrical experience or building engineering related experience in a commercial or industrial environmentAbility to diagnosis problems, make sound decisions, prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasksInterpret engineering drawings and equipment manualsEPA Universal/CFC Universal Refrigerant CertificationProficient computer skills including e-mail, Word and ExcelMust successfully have passed or willing to take the Local 39 apprentice exam, or met the criteria as explained by the apprenticeship standards for IUOE Local 39

Preferred

Refrigeration experienceWorked in water treatment facility or similar experience

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:

120,000.00 – 120,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
