Description
\n\t\t\t\t\tPersonnel designated as stationary engineers/Boiler Operator shall have five (5) years of experience in the maintenance, operation, and repair of centralized boiler and chiller equipment and related auxiliary systems with at least three (3) years of experience working in a large complex Central Plant capable of producing over 500 boiler horsepower high pressure steam heating capacity and 400 tons centrifugal chiller produced cooling capacity that support\nspecialized facilities such as a hospital. \n\nShall possess a working knowledge of boiler and chiller equipment operation, maintenance, and repair for a Central Plant. Personnel shall be skilled in monitoring, operating, and maintaining, high pressure steam boilers, chillers, pumps,\ncooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, feed water systems, steam and chilled water distribution, chemical treatment systems, and have a working knowledge of central plant DDC control system operation. Stationary Engineers shall possess a current Stationary Engineer’s license from a city, state, or nationally recognized entity, such as National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) First Class Engineer or equivalent, within 2nd year of employment for high pressure steam plant operation.

\n\t\t\t\t\tPrevious experience with Steam Boilers a must, within any industry.\nEPA Certification, or previous Navy Experience (Machine Mate)\n\nCandidates must have a MINIMUM of 5 years of relevant experience, 3 of those must be within a commercial facility.\n\n**Starting May 2025, all Stationary Engineers will require a Steam Boiler License. If a current employee does not have this, they will not be able to keep employment.** (candidates without a license open to contract only, may still apply)
