**Job Title: Stationary Engineer - MD 1st Grade**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grade 1 MD Stationary Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving departmental goals, adhering to quality and safety standards, and ensuring compliance with governmental and accreditation regulations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives.
+ Adhere to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
+ Diagnose, repair, and install using blueprints, codes, specifications, and other industry standards.
+ Maintain accurate operational logs of equipment in multiple buildings.
+ Ensure assigned station is clean and safe.
+ Conduct necessary water tests on converters and chillers.
+ Make rounds of machinery rooms, cooling towers, boiler rooms, and rooftops to perform visual inspections of equipment and verify its operation.
+ Perform maintenance on power plant equipment and machinery.
+ Assist in testing and repair of fire and safety equipment.
+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all HVAC equipment and other related machinery.
+ Conduct building maintenance and electrical work as necessary.
+ Prepare boilers and related equipment for inspection and maintain water treatment by performing daily tests of all circulating open and closed loop systems and adding chemicals to achieve designated department standards.
+ Work in accordance with requirements of local ordinances and codes.
+ Participate in meetings and on committees, represent the department and hospital in community outreach efforts, and service improvement teams.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

+ Maintain a suitable and safe climatic environment

**Work Environment**
Work is based in the basement of Harbor Hospital in the boiler room, with responsibilities extending to other areas of the hospital as needed. The team is close-knit and supportive, with a range of ages from 24 to 72. Shifts are from Sunday to Thursday on the 3rd shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to hire position based out of Brooklyn, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
