GENERAL OVERVIEW
Monitors, maintains and repairs all campus HVAC and infrastructure related equipment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the proper operation of the hospital's energy systems including the steam, medical gases, oxygen, chilled water, electricity, vacuum and HVAC equipment. (20%)Performs preventive maintenance in accordance with the computerized work order system. (30%)Monitors all computerized equipment related to building utilities. (10%)Responds to and notifies the proper personnel in case of emergencies, such as, fires, power outages, floods or elevator malfunctions resulting in the safe evacuation of trapped people. (10%)Installs new equipment. (10%)Orients and trains trade employees. Assigns and schedules jobs to be performed in coordination with supervision. (20%)QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
City of Pittsburgh Stationary Engineers License3 years of hospital experience3 years experience in HVAC Systems or equivalent experience required.Preferred
